HIPAA Facilities
SECURITY
Facility Level Security - The production facility is protected by a key code to ensure that only employed transcriptionist can only enter inside the production area.
Equipment - All equipment resides in a secure facility restricted to authorized personnel only. Hardware, disk, cellular phones, cameras, or any form of storage devices are never brought in and out of the facility without pre-authorization.
Data Transfer Security - Authorized individual access of patient data on the computer connection is encrypted and protected from "hackers" using a minimun of 128-bit encryption process. This ensures the protection of all sensitive information, making all data completely and totally inaccessible to any unauthorized personnel both physically and on the interne.
TRAINING
HIPAA training - Aside from facility HIPAA requirements, all employees are HIPAA trained.
The training covers such areas as:
- Right to Privacy - Log-off Required
- Right to Monitor, Audit, Read - Electronic Transmission of Transcribed Data
- Training and Authorization Required - Storage and Deletion of Dictation on Voice File
- User's Acknowledgement Required - Authentication of Report
- Access - Release of Patient Data
- Dictation and Dictation Playback - Enforcement
- Shipping of Dictation - User Understanding
